Course Description

Industrial Pretreatment “A” Level Advanced The advanced industrial pretreatment course covers pretreatment program administration, sewer use ordinances, multi-jurisdictional agreements, enforcement procedures and response plan, local limits, categorical pretreatment standards, public records and presentation skills. Required minimum qualifications for voluntary certification: 1. Must have Industrial Pretreatment "B" level certification through FIPA or FWPCOA 2. Must have accumulated 3 years of experience performing daily duties in industrial pretreatment 3. Recommend having one (1) year of IP experience at the supervisory level 4. Must successfully complete the Industrial Pretreatment "A" course through FIPA or FWPCOA 5. Must achieve a grade of 70% or greater on the "A" course certification exam
