Course Description

Industrial Pretreatment ā€œCā€ Level Basic The basic industrial pretreatment course covers an introduction to the pretreatment program, program interactions and customer relations, chemical hazards and safety awareness, occupational exposures to pathogens, traffic safety, collection system and wastewater treatment facilities, sampling preparation, confined space, flow monitoring and sampling equipment, field sampling activities, inspection procedures, industrial survey and classification. Required minimum qualifications for voluntary certification: 1. Must have accumulated 1 year experience in industrial pretreatment, wastewater collection or treatment, water/reclaimed water distribution or treatment, and/or laboratory sampling or analysis 2. Must successfully complete the Industrial Pretreatment "C" course through FIPA or FWPCOA 3. Must achieve a grade of 70% or greater on the "C" course certification exam
